When I describe what I do at work or simply provide my title, there is a sense that this description makes no sense. What do these words Data Warehouse, Data Architect, and Normalizing mean? Do companies really need this expertise ? How can I make a living doing this stuff?
Well it so happens that these skills and techniques are very important to many companies. For example, Shell Oil Company has established a whole department in London to perform data architecture and checking the quality of data.
So I have included some explanation of this career in a simple and easy-to-understand, so that friends and employers can understand the elements and goals of data architecture. I hope this gives some clarity to the subject.
